construction zone

Today we braved the dirt and noise and went out front to play on our bikes and with chalk. We have been staying out back or going to the park lately because our road has gotten all torn up again. They are taking out the dangerous "hump" that no one can see over when you pull out of our driveway or more importantly out of the street the intersects with it. Aside from them hitting a water line the other day and having water gushing out for 2 hours, and then having the water off again and our hose hooked up so the people across the street could have water once it was back on, there have been no major problems :) . Here are some pictures.

Hannah wants to roller skate, too.
Jackson loves his "line drawer" (3 pieces of chalk that draw with a roller)
The house across the street on the left used to be even with the street.
It is hard to see, but there is now a "hill" on our driveway.
Miss Liz (soon to be kindergartener)
Buddy Boy
Happy to get a picture today.
Him too.
How can I get into trouble now??
In other news, I got Lizzie's Kindergarten assignment and information today (sniff, sniff). I really can't believe it!! She is assigned to PM, like I had requested, at Rheems, right near our house, and she got the "strict teacher," Mrs. Dolan. We will wait and see how it goes. I think it will be good for Lizzie to have a teacher like that. She has been teaching 21 years and apparently does wonderful things with the kids and for the parents. She starts August 28th for one day and then has off Friday and Monday for Labor Day. Open House for the parents is the 13th and we have a conference with Mrs. Dolan from 2-3 on the 25th so Lizzie can meet her and see her room. We'll see...

Quote of the day: Lizzie pulled me over to the window tonight and showed me the moon. "Mom isn't it so beautiful?" She came out and showed Daddy and Jackson and then said, "I am going to pray and thank Jesus for the beautiful moon." She prayed right then as she sat looking out the window at the moon--to be like a child in our Faith!!
