Outside

We have been enjoying some on and off warm weather and getting to the park. We go to the "alligator park" which is actually the Fun Fort in E-town. There are all kinds of things to do there and the kids love to climb. We have also had fun on the swing set out back. We are all trying to guess what is going to be planted in the field behind us this year. So far, no hints of anything.

All of the kids like to ride bikes in the driveway and Lizzie has tried to ride without training wheels (I think she needs to be a little taller). They also love to write messages to daddy in the driveway and trace each other with chalk. Joe said when he comes home it is funny to see all of the chalk bodies in the driveway, it looks like a crime scene!

Joe has enjoyed perfecting his rib recipe on Saturdays while I am at work and has found that he has another person in the house that enjoys them. Apparently, Lizzie ate a whole 1/2 a rack this weekend. Her appetite has tripled in the past month or so and she eats enough for all three kids.

Quotes:
I was at church one Sunday turning on all the lights in the room and Jackson was helping. We were in one of the 2 year old rooms that Jackson used to be in and he said, "Mom, this is the house I used to live in when I peed in my pants!"

We went to a parenting conference a few weeks ago (really good about Graced Based Parenting) and a lot of it was about natural consequences and not being embarrassed of the choices your kids make, like wanting to wear dress-up in public). Anyway, one of the points that tied into to the stuff they taught was that sex-ed doesn't have to start when they are pre-teens, it can be as simple as calling "the parts" by their real names. SOOO, we tried it at bathtime the other night. Jackson usually calls his a "dooker" and Lizzie and Hannah have a "bottom" so when we announced the correct names Jackson said, "Lizzie, you have a pajamia!! Ha-Ha!!"

Hannah likes to reverse some compound words lately like "shakemilk." It is funny to hear some of her creations. She is saying full sentences and can tell us exactly what she wants or is thinking, crazy!!

Lizzie hasn't had any creative quotes lately, but is enjoying reading and school (she doesn't like that she has 6 days off for Easter Break) and has started adding and learning about fractions in Kindergarten.
